Suspects Sought in Officer-Involved Shooting in Hollywood

Police are currently searching for suspects involved in an officer-involved shooting that occurred near the corner of Ivar and Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California. Eyewitness News reporter Eric Resendiz provided the latest developments on the scene.

The incident took place around 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, when security officers flagged down patrolling police officers in response to a fight at a nightclub on Ivar and Hollywood. A suspect who was outside the bar pulled out a handgun and began shooting at the police officers, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Fortunately, no officers or bystanders were injured.

The suspect, described as a heavyset Caucasian male in his 30s, fled the scene in a white sedan. It is currently unknown if the suspect was injured or if the vehicle sustained any bullet holes. The police unit involved in the shooting has been found with a bullet hole.

The altercation that led to the shooting is still under investigation, and further details regarding the incident have not been released at this time. The police are actively searching for the suspects involved in the incident.
