In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a Pacifica resident encountered a group of suspects attempting to steal their vehicle, resulting in gunfire, as reported by the Pacifica Police Department. The incident took place at approximately 3:40 a.m. on the 300 block of Horizon Way, near Sunset Ridge Elementary School.
According to the resident, several individuals were in the process of stealing their vehicle when they confronted the suspects head-on. In response, the perpetrators hastily fled the scene in two separate vehicles, reaching high speeds. As they made their escape, one of the suspect vehicles discharged multiple rounds of ammunition, endangering the resident and those in the vicinity. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
The Pacifica Police Department, in collaboration with the Daly City, South San Francisco, and San Bruno police departments, initiated a joint effort to locate and apprehend the two suspect vehicles. The first vehicle is described as a white or silver Infinity four-door sedan, while no further details were provided regarding the second vehicle, except that it was silver in color.
