In a series of residential burglaries that took place between last fall and spring, a 23-year-old man from Santa Clara is now facing multiple criminal charges, according to Palo Alto Police Department. The incidents occurred on different dates and locations in Palo Alto, including Rosewood Drive, Briarwood Way, Ramona Street, Talisman Court, and Byron Street.
Thanks to a diligent investigation, the Palo Alto Police Department was able to identify the man as one of the suspects involved in these burglaries. On July 20, detectives obtained a probable cause warrant charging him with five felony counts of residential burglary. However, on that very day, the suspect was arrested on separate charges by the Santa Clara Police Department and taken into custody.
Following the arrest, detectives served the warrant on July 25 at the Santa Clara County jail. Subsequently, during the ongoing investigation, the man was linked to three additional incidents in San Jose and one in Fremont. The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office formally charged him with seven counts of burglary, four counts of attempted burglary, and four counts of vandalism on Thursday.
Although the arrest of this individual is a significant breakthrough, the investigation remains ongoing to identify other possible suspects involved in the Palo Alto burglaries.
