Philadelphia police are currently on the lookout for a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred on Temple University’s campus. The incident took place at approximately 1:50 a.m. on January 23 in the 1800 block of North Broad Street. According to investigators, a woman was walking when she was approached by a man who exited a late-model gray Ford Focus.
The suspect, who was a passenger in the vehicle, brandished a firearm and pointed it at the woman, demanding her belongings. In compliance with his demands, the victim handed over her bag, which contained a tablet, wallet, and medication. After seizing the items, the suspect swiftly fled the scene in the Ford Focus, driven by another individual.
Authorities report that the suspect was last spotted at the intersection of North 5th Street and Girard Avenue. He was described as wearing a white hat, a brown jacket with a camo or graphic pattern, green camouflage pants, and black and white sneakers. The driver of the vehicle, on the other hand, appeared to be wearing a dark jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
Philadelphia police are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact 911 immediately. The investigation into this armed robbery is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to bring the perpetrator to justice.
