Suspect Arrested in Case of Missing Washington Couple, Believed to Be Murder Victims

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a Washington couple, and authorities believe the couple may have been killed. The couple, Karen Koep and her partner, Davido, had been missing since Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, a man in his 40s from Olympia, Washington, located east of the couple’s residence, has been taken into custody. He faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnapping. Investigators have determined that the suspect was acquainted with the couple.

The investigation began when Karen Koep failed to report to work as a chiropractor on Monday. Concerned for their welfare, authorities conducted a wellness check at their residence, but neither Koep nor Davido were found. Their car, a 2015 silver Toyota Yaris, was later discovered on a street in Lacey.

Koep’s sister, Pauline Dutton, expressed her belief that the couple did not willingly leave their home. The sheriff’s office initially labeled their disappearance as “suspicious” but did not disclose further details.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case, and the suspect remains in custody as they work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the couple’s disappearance and suspected deaths.
