Emergency crews are currently searching for a pursuit suspect who died after driving off the side of a cliff near the Maurice River Reservoir in San Gabriel Canyon. The incident, which occurred earlier today, has prompted the closure of Highway 39 as authorities investigate the scene.
Air 7 HD captured live footage of the wreckage of the suspect’s car, which has been located at the bottom of the cliff. Emergency crews are working to dismantle the vehicle in order to access the body. The identity of the suspect has not been released at this time.
