Sidney Powell, former attorney for Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, has entered a plea of not guilty in the Georgia election interference case.
Powell, along with 18 others including Trump, is accused of participating in a criminal conspiracy to overturn the state’s election results and keep the former president in power. The charges against Powell include violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, conspiracy to commit election fraud, computer crimes, and conspiracy to defraud the state.
Powell waived her right to an arraignment and is set to be arraigned on September 6, along with the other defendants. Another defendant, Ray Smith, has also entered a not guilty plea.
Powell surrendered at the Fulton County jail and was released on a $100,000 bond.
