Shooting at Birthday Celebration in Third Ward Leaves One Dead and Three Injured

A birthday celebration in Third Ward turned tragic when a shooting occurred outside the Legends Lounge early this morning. According to KPRC 2, the incident took place at approximately 1:45 am. Alexandria Wright, a mother of 1, was killed, and three others sustained injuries. The mother of the deceased woman, who was present at the scene, expressed her devastation and desire for more information.

Investigators have revealed that the shooting stemmed from an argument that started inside the Legends Lounge. Allegedly, a man made inappropriate comments towards some of the women present. Although the scene has been cleared, initial video footage showed numerous witnesses outside the establishment when the police arrived. The shooting occurred in the parking lot, involving at least three individuals who fired guns. Two women and two men were shot, with one woman in her 30s losing her life. Approximately 20 people were present during the gunfire, many of whom were celebrating a birthday at the club. The altercation appears to have originated from an argument involving females and offensive remarks made towards them. It is reported that alcohol consumption was prevalent, and firearms were present, leading to this tragic outcome.

As of now, no arrests have been made. However, the Houston Police Department is actively searching for a man in his 30s, described as wearing a white shirt with a logo on the back and jeans. Authorities urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact HPD. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided.
