Second Massage Therapist Accuses Kevin Spacey of Sexual Assault in Civil Lawsuit

A second massage therapist has filed a civil lawsuit accusing actor Kevin Spacey of sexual assault. The therapist, identified as “J.D.,” alleges that Spacey became visibly sexually aroused during massages and pressured him to perform sexual acts. The incidents allegedly took place in 2016 at the New York Edition Hotel, where Spacey booked appointments using fake names. During the appointments, Spacey insisted on wearing a ski mask and attempted to place the therapist’s hand on his genitals. He also made inappropriate comments about the therapist’s appearance and offered extra money for sexual favors.

According to the lawsuit, Spacey insisted on starting the massage with a focus on the therapist’s buttocks and performed yoga poses that exposed his genitals. At the end of each session, Spacey tipped the therapist in cash and bowed to him, implying the gesture was for his discretion. The therapist claims to have continually rejected Spacey’s advances, but the actor persisted. The therapist was unable to avoid the appointments as Spacey used different names each time.

Lawyers representing Spacey have not yet responded to the allegations. This lawsuit comes shortly after Spacey’s friend, Geoffrey Mark, stated that the actor was ready to rebuild his career after being cleared of sexual assault charges in a London court. Spacey has previously faced accusations of sexual assault from another massage therapist in Malibu, California, in the same year. He settled with the accuser’s family after their death in 2019. Spacey has also faced criminal charges for allegedly groping a busboy in Nantucket, but the charges were dropped when the accuser refused to testify.

Since 2017, numerous men have accused Spacey of unwanted touching. Spacey has maintained his innocence, describing himself as a “big flirt” rather than an assailant. It is important to note that he has never been convicted of sexual misconduct.
