San Francisco Man Arrested for Construction Site Tool Theft
A San Francisco man has been apprehended by authorities in connection with the theft of construction tools from a South San Francisco work site earlier this month. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Enrique Carlos Medina, was taken into custody on Tuesday following an investigation by the South San Francisco police.
The incident, which occurred on February 7, involved the pilfering of construction tools from a site located on the 700 block of Dubuque Avenue. Acting swiftly, officers were able to trace the stolen items back to Medina’s residence in San Francisco. A subsequent search warrant executed at his home led to the recovery of not only the tools stolen from the South San Francisco work site but also a significant number of other tools that are potentially linked to construction site thefts across the Bay Area.
Medina now faces charges of grand theft and has been booked into the San Mateo County Jail. The South San Francisco police are urging anyone with additional information related to this ongoing investigation to contact Detective Kerrigan at (650)-877-8900 or tips@ssf.net.
