“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Shannon Beador has been officially charged by the Orange County District Attorney after allegedly driving under the influence and crashing into a home in Newport Beach last month. The charges include one count of DUI and one count of hit-and-run, both misdemeanors.
Law enforcement sources have revealed that Beador registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .24% after the crash. In September, footage emerged showing what appeared to be Beador’s car speeding through a residential area before colliding with the house. She was subsequently arrested by the police.
Upon her arrest, Beador claimed to be walking her dog nearby, but law enforcement officials were skeptical and booked her on the two misdemeanors. Beador has offered to cover the cost of the property damage and has been seeking treatment.
A witness at a nearby bar reported that Beador appeared intoxicated on the night of the crash and arrest. She was allegedly behaving loudly and making complaints about her former “Housewives” co-star, Alexis Bellino, who was also present in the establishment.
