Reality TV Personality Chrisean Rock Sued for Alleged Assault and Homophobic Slur

Reality TV personality and rapper Chrisean Rock, also known as Chrisean Malone, has been sued for allegedly assaulting a man backstage at a Los Angeles show and using a homophobic slur. The incident took place on November 10 at the Novo, a club on Olympic Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles, following a performance by Tamar Braxton.

According to court papers reviewed by The Times, Malone became upset with a man named James Wright backstage, as she believed she was supposed to rap during the show while Wright thought she was only participating in a dance performance at the end. The lawsuit claims that Malone struck Wright multiple times in the face, causing him to suffer two broken teeth and facial cuts. It is alleged that Malone was wearing rings at the time, which the suit suggests were equivalent to brass knuckles.

Attorney Kevin Anderson, representing Wright, stated, “She hit him multiple times in the face for no reason at all. We were surprised that she was able to leave the facility that night.” Anderson further mentioned that Braxton was present in the room when the assault occurred. As Malone was being removed from the dressing room, she reportedly used a homophobic slur to describe Wright and threatened to hit him again.

Wright sought medical attention after the incident, receiving treatment for his injuries. The lawsuit filed against Malone coincides with a criminal case filed in January, accusing her of assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

Malone, who gained recognition through the Zeus Network reality show “Baddies,” is also known for her relationship with rapper Blueface, with whom she shares a child. At the time of reporting, Malone could not be reached for comment.
