Rapper Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, is facing a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, alleging rape and abuse. The lawsuit was filed on November 16 in Federal District Court in New York City. Cassie, a former artist signed to Combs’ record label, accused him of repeated physical abuse and rape over a decade-long period.
According to the lawsuit, Cassie claimed that Combs exerted control over her life and allegedly subjected her to physical abuse. She also alleged that he provided her with drugs and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes, which he allegedly filmed. Cassie stated that she decided not to report the abuse to the police out of fear.
In response to the accusations, Combs denied the allegations through his lawyer, stating that they were offensive and baseless. He claimed that Cassie had demanded $30 million from him over the past six months, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship. Combs’ lawyer referred to the lawsuit as an attempt to tarnish his client’s reputation and seek financial gain.
Cassie’s lawyers countered by stating that Combs had offered her a significant sum of money to remain silent, an offer she rejected. The lawsuit also mentioned Combs’ alleged access to Cassie’s personal medical records during their relationship.
Cassie, who is now married to Alex Fine and has two children with him, claimed that her association with Combs’ record label came to an end in 2019.
