Bartlett now faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm.
Following his arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court, Bartlett was released on $25,000 bail. The court has scheduled his case for a hearing on June 4. This incident adds to a series of legal troubles for the rapper, as he was previously arrested twice within two days in October 2023 in Los Angeles. The charges included kidnapping, robbery, and assault, with his younger brother Tauren Bartlett, also known as Trench Baby, being charged in both incidents. Tauren Bartlett was later charged with felony murder in connection to a drive-by shooting in June 2023.
In June 2021, Polo G was arrested on various charges, including battery on a police officer, threats to a public servant, resisting an officer with violence, resisting an officer without violence, and criminal mischief. These charges were eventually dropped as part of a plea bargain, which involved the rapper enrolling in a pre-trial diversion program.
Despite his legal issues, Polo G has continued to release new music, with his single “Sorrys and Ferraris” dropping in February 2024. Fans can anticipate his upcoming album, the follow-up to his successful 2021 LP “Hall of Fame,” which is expected to be released this summer.
