Northern California rapper Michael Isrealishia Moore, known by his stage name “BussDown Bandy”, has been arrested and charged with human trafficking of a minor, pimping, and pandering. The charges stem from an incident involving a 16-year-old girl who identified Moore as her pimp after seeing him in one of his music videos. The girl came forward to police on November 2 after patrol officers in Oakland noticed her appearing upset outside a convenience store.
During a police interview, the girl claimed that Moore approached her in a high-prostitution area in Los Angeles, invited her to smoke marijuana, and offered her a job as a prostitute. She later identified Moore from his music video on YouTube. The girl also stated that Moore seemed surprised when she revealed her age but continued to associate with her.
Authorities have recovered text messages supporting the allegation that Moore was trafficking the girl. Video surveillance has also confirmed their association. When Moore was arrested, police found $4,000 in cash in his possession. The alleged victim had been listed as a missing person for several months before encountering Moore in late October.
Moore, 28, was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday but did not attend due to an undisclosed medical issue. His bail has been set at $350,000, and his next court date is scheduled for January.
