Prosecutors are anticipating the results of additional DNA testing in the case against Brian Walshe, a Cohasset man accused of murdering his wife, Ana Walshe, and dismembering her body. Ana Walshe, 39, was last seen alive on January 1.
Brian Walshe, 48, was indicted in March on charges including murder, misleading a police investigation/obstruction of justice, and improper conveyance of a human body.
The prosecution and defense jointly filed a motion to delay a pretrial conference scheduled for Wednesday, citing the ongoing identification and sharing of evidence.
The results of the DNA analysis, which were sent to an independent laboratory, are expected within approximately two weeks.
Brian Walshe remains in custody without bail.
