A potential criminal act involving a hidden camera has been reported on an American Airlines flight. The incident allegedly involved a juvenile, a flight attendant, and a cell phone. Details are limited, and law enforcement has not made any arrests at this time.
According to a first-class passenger on the flight, a teenage girl was stopped by a male flight attendant when she attempted to use the first-class bathroom. The flight attendant claimed he needed to wash his hands before she could enter. After he finished, the girl went into the bathroom. Later, the girl’s mother approached another passenger in first class and warned them about a hidden camera in the bathroom.
Upon landing, the girl and her family were the first to disembark. Police and airline staff then entered the aircraft and checked the bathroom multiple times. The male flight attendant was subsequently removed from the plane.
The FBI, Massachusetts State Police, and American Airlines are cooperating in the investigation. American Airlines stated that they take the matter seriously and prioritize safety and security.
