The political director of the South Carolina Republican Party, Braylee Estep, and her mother, Michele Stalvey Estep, found themselves on the wrong side of the law after a wild bar brawl in Conway. The incident, which took place at Stalvey’s Watering Hole, has left the community in disbelief.
According to a police report obtained by News13, the altercation occurred on December 23, when a witness and a victim were enjoying a night out at the bar. Trouble began when a third woman’s boyfriend started harassing them, hurling vulgar insults their way. Frustrated, the victim and witness decided to step outside to their vehicle while someone settled their bar tab.
However, the bitter cold forced them to return inside while the bill was being paid. It was during this time that tensions escalated, leading to a heated exchange between the parties involved. Michele Estep, upon hearing the commotion, rushed to the scene, only to hear the victim utter derogatory remarks about her daughter.
As the victim and witness attempted to leave in their car, Braylee Estep began banging on the window. The situation quickly spiraled out of control when all three suspects surrounded the vehicle. When the car door finally opened, they unleashed a barrage of blows, assaulting the victim repeatedly.
In a shocking twist, the third woman grabbed a cup from inside the vehicle and used it to strike the car’s exterior, causing significant damage. The witness, thinking on their feet, managed to reverse the car and drive to a safer location to call for emergency assistance.
Braylee Estep, a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina with a political science degree, has been actively involved in various statewide campaigns. Notably, she served as the regional field director in Georgia for the highly contested race between Gov. Brian Kemp and Herschel Walker. Her bio boasts an impressive record of over 500,000 grassroots connections during that campaign.
Michele Estep, on the other hand, is part of the Estep family, who operates Stalvey’s Bait and Tackle in Conway. The family business has long been a staple in the community, known for its dedication to serving local anglers.
The South Carolina Republican Party has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. As the legal proceedings unfold, the community eagerly awaits further details surrounding this shocking altercation involving prominent figures within the political landscape.
