Police Searching for Driver Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run in Monroe Township

Police in Monroe Township, New Jersey are on the lookout for a van and its driver involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man. The incident occurred late Friday evening on the 1400 block of South Black Horse Pike near Corkery Lane.

According to authorities, the victim, identified as Thomas Hoff from Williamstown, New Jersey, was attempting to cross the roadway when a white Ford E Series van struck him. Tragically, Hoff was pronounced dead at the scene. The van, however, callously left the scene without even stopping, and continued to flee down the Black Horse Pike.

In the aftermath of the devastating hit-and-run, the family of the victim is left grieving, struggling to come to terms with this immense loss. Dawn Boultinghouse, Hoff’s half-sister from Mantua, New Jersey, expressed her disbelief and sorrow, particularly due to the driver’s failure to stop and aid her brother. Boultinghouse also revealed that this was not the first time Hoff had been hit by a vehicle, as he had lost a leg in a previous accident when he was in his 20s. Now, Hoff leaves behind a daughter and siblings who will deeply miss his caring and loving presence.

The authorities have provided a description of the van, mentioning that it likely sustained front grill and hood damage, as well as a missing right front headlight from the collision.
