The Memphis Police Department is investigating a police chase that resulted in chaos and confusion in the White Haven neighborhood. The incident occurred earlier today when officers noticed a brown Audi driving recklessly in the area of Elvis Presley Boulevard and Winchester Road. The driver of the Audi allegedly almost ran a Memphis police officer off the road.
The police pursued the Audi, and during the chase, the suspect collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Graceland and Winchester. Despite the collision, the suspect continued driving until eventually crashing on Gracelyn Avenue. The impact caused the Audi to catch fire.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Audi driver, who sustained no serious injuries, is now in police custody and may face serious charges.
