Person Injured in Mountain View Shooting Incident

A person was shot and injured in a disturbance involving several individuals and a firearm in Mountain View on Friday morning, according to the Mountain View Police Department. The incident occurred at a residence in the 400 block of North Rengstorff Avenue, prompting officers to respond just before 6 a.m. Upon arrival, no victims were found at the scene. However, shortly after, an individual arrived at El Camino Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim received prompt medical attention and is expected to survive.

Following this development, law enforcement officers proceeded to the hospital and detained two individuals who were connected to the injured party. During the investigation, a firearm was discovered in their vehicle. At this time, no charges have been announced by the police. The authorities are currently conducting interviews with witnesses and continuing their investigation into the shooting.

The Mountain View Police Department emphasized that there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the general public. They urge anyone with information related to the case to contact Detective Lauren Riffel.
