Oregon Teenage Drug Trafficker Faces Federal Charges for Fentanyl Trafficking Using 20-ton Shop Press

Cristhian Martinez, an 18-year-old with connections to a recent fatal overdose case, has been charged with federal offenses after being apprehended while transporting multiple packages of powdered fentanyl. Law enforcement authorities have also reported the discovery of a significant fentanyl production setup within Martinez’s residence, including a 20-ton shop press. His charges include intent to distribute fentanyl and possessing a firearm related to drug trafficking.

The investigation leading to these charges commenced in September 2023 when the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force responded to a fatal overdose incident. During the scene processing, counterfeit M30 Oxycodone pills suspected to contain fentanyl were found. Martinez emerged as the individual believed to have supplied fentanyl to the deceased victim’s dealer.

Martinez was subsequently traced to a location in California and was intercepted by investigators while traveling to Oregon on November 16. A traffic stop was executed in Gladstone, during which a K-9 sweep of Martinez’s vehicle uncovered multiple concealed packages containing over 1,000 grams of compressed fentanyl.

On the same day, a federal search warrant was executed at Martinez’s Gladstone apartment, revealing a fully operational fentanyl manufacturing and distribution facility. Authorities seized additional quantities of fentanyl, firearms including 10 handguns and an AR-15-style assault rifle, ammunition, and materials consistent with drug trafficking.

Martinez made his initial appearance in federal court before a U.S. Magistrate Judge on Monday, marking a significant development in the case.
