Ashlee Cheatham, a 19-year-old woman from Stillwater, Oklahoma, is facing criminal charges for allegedly sexually abusing her boyfriend’s 3-year-old daughter. Cheatham was taken into custody on August 22 after her boyfriend reported her to the Stillwater Police. The man discovered “disturbing images and videos” of his daughter on Cheatham’s cellphone while she was asleep, leading to his report.

Cheatham has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation, unlawful access to a computer, unlawful possession of a controlled drug (marijuana), and child sexual abuse. She was arrested at her shared residence with her boyfriend, as captured in body camera footage.

Although Cheatham has admitted to the crimes, she pleaded not guilty to the charges on August 30. She is currently being held in the Payne County Jail on a $75,000 bond and will be represented by a court-appointed lawyer.

In a statement, Superintendent David Reid confirmed that Cheatham had listed a local elementary school as her place of employment on Facebook. However, he clarified that she was in the process of being hired for the current school year but had not completed the federal background check required for employment. The hiring process was terminated before completion, and Cheatham never worked for the district or had any contact with students.

Cheatham’s next court hearing is scheduled for Monday.
