Nurse Fisayo Ogedengbe and Friend Sent Back to Custody in Connection with Controversial Death of Hip Hop Artist Mohbad

The Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba has ordered the return to custody of Fisayo Ogedengbe, a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, and Ayobani Sadiq, also known as Spending, who were arrested in connection with the controversial death of hip hop artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad. It is alleged that Ogedengbe administered injections to Mohbad, resulting in his death.

Meanwhile, the court has granted bail in the sum of N20m to Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. Both individuals were implicated in Mohbad’s death and were taken into custody by the police on October 6. The magistrate specified that the defendants must provide three responsible sureties in the same amount and surrender their passports. They are also required to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

The magistrate, Olatunbosun, warned against direct contact regarding the case and stated that any attempts to do so would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings. The police have confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, and the case has been adjourned until November 29 for advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
