NFL legend Terrell Owens was hit by a car in Calabasas, California on Monday night. The incident is being investigated as a deliberate act by law enforcement authorities. Owens was playing pickup basketball when he allegedly got into an argument with another man on the court. After the game, the man reportedly drove his car into Owens’ knee. Fortunately, Owens did not sustain serious injuries and did not require hospitalization.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department took a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. As of Tuesday morning, the driver had not been arrested.
Terrell Owens, 49, played 15 seasons in the NFL and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. This is not the first time Owens has been involved in a confrontation. In August 2022, he had a dispute with a woman in his Florida neighborhood who accused him of traffic violations. The woman was later charged with lying to authorities, but the charge was dropped in February.
