New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested in Kenner, Louisiana, on Monday on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. The 23-year-old player was allegedly driving at double the speed limit, 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, and weaving in and out of lanes. The Kenner Police Department released body camera footage of the arrest, which showed Olave attempting to use his occupation to influence the officer. However, the officer remained unimpressed and proceeded with the arrest.
During the arrest, Olave expressed remorse for his alleged dangerous driving, stating, “My bad, dawg. I play for the Saints, man.” The officer responded with indifference, saying, “And?” Throughout the rest of the video, Olave did not mention his affiliation with the NFL team again.
