County prosecutors have dropped murder charges against longtime Atlanta music executive Shaka Zulu. Zulu, who is the longtime manager of Atlanta rapper Ludacris, was arrested in September 2022 for his alleged involvement in a deadly shooting outside a Buckhead restaurant on Pete Street Road. According to police, Zulu shot two men, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Artez Benton. Zulu claimed self-defense, stating that he was attacked and fired his gun in response. Today, prosecutors reached the same conclusion and dropped the charges against him.
