Multiplatinum Recording Artist Polo G and Brother Arrested in Raid on California Mansion – UPDATE

Police have confirmed the arrest of multiplatinum recording artist Polo G (real name: Taurus Bartlett) and his brother, Trench Baby (real name: Taurean Bartlett), in a raid on Polo G’s mansion in Chatsworth, California. The arrest took place on Wednesday, with Polo G being taken into custody after an illegal short-barrel rifle was found during a search of his $4.9 million mansion and car. Trench Baby, who was wanted in connection with a robbery, was also apprehended and later released on $100,000 bail.

Polo G was released on his own recognizance, as per Los Angeles County jail records. His court appearance is scheduled for September 12, while Trench Baby is set to appear on September 13. Polo G is represented by attorney Bradford Cohen, known for his representation of rappers Draze, Lil Wayne, and Kodak Black. The legal representation for Trench Baby remains unclear.

Polo G, signed to Columbia Records, has achieved significant success in his music career. His debut album, “Die a Legend,” went double-platinum in 2019. The following year, his second album, “Goat,” had 10 songs chart on Billboard’s Hot 100. In 2021, his third album, “Hall of Fame,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with the single “Rapstar” spending two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, surpassing artists like Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, the Weeknd, and Ariana Grande. All three of Polo G’s albums have sold over 2 million units. His fourth album, “H.O.O.D P.O.E.T,” has recently been released.

Trench Baby has collaborated with his brother on several songs.
