Michigan Hockey Player Removed from Team for Alleged Defacement of Jewish Resource Center

Michigan hockey player Johnny Druskinis has been removed from the team ahead of the 2023-24 season following allegations of defacing the university’s Jewish Resource Center. Along with another student, Druskinis allegedly covered the center with images of male genitalia and homophobic slurs. The incident occurred on August 22, and Ann Arbor police were involved in identifying the two students responsible.

The Michigan hockey team spokesperson did not provide specific details regarding Druskinis’ removal from the team, stating only that it was due to a violation of team rules. However, multiple students identified Druskinis as the male present in the video to the StopAntisemitism group, which subsequently posted about his removal from the team.
