Masseuse Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault at Palo Alto Massage Parlor

A masseuse at a Palo Alto massage parlor was arrested on February 8 in connection to an alleged sexual assault on a client, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. The incident occurred in November when a woman in her 20s reported to the police that she had been sexually assaulted by her masseuse earlier that day. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

The massage parlor in question, Massage Envy, is located at 4335 El Camino Real. Following a thorough investigation by the Palo Alto Police Department, it was confirmed that the victim had indeed been sexually assaulted during her massage. The suspect, identified as Arturo Gomez, a 42-year-old resident of San Jose, was subsequently charged with two felony counts by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. The charges include sexual penetration and sexual battery.

A warrant for Gomez’s arrest was issued on January 18. He was apprehended at approximately 5 p.m. on February 8 at a family member’s residence on the 400 block of Washington Street. Massage Envy’s administration cooperated with the police throughout the investigation and terminated Gomez’s employment upon learning of the incident.

Although Gomez had worked at several other massage parlors in the Bay Area, the police have no knowledge of any additional victims at this time. The Palo Alto Police Department encourages anyone with information related to the case to contact them at (650) 329-2413.
