Police in Memphis, Tennessee, are searching for a masked man who broke into a Taco Bell restaurant by jumping through the drive-thru window. The suspect used a metal grinder to gain access to a safe located under the front counter. The exact amount of cash stolen has not been disclosed by the Memphis Police, but the thief was able to cut holes into the safe and remove the money.
This incident marks the third time in the past month that a Taco Bell in Memphis has been targeted by criminals. In each case, the perpetrators entered the fast food establishment through the drive-thru window. On October 24, two men and a woman robbed a Taco Bell at gunpoint in the 2700 block of Perkins. On October 26, two men forced their way into a Taco Bell in the 5300 block of Knight Arnold through the drive-thru window, demanded cash, and fled.
