Marlborough authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were found dead in a Rice Street home on Wednesday morning. According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office, police were alerted just after 10 a.m. by two women and a child, who reported their roommate had been shot. The police discovered the bodies of the woman and the man, both with gunshot wounds, inside the residence.
The investigation suggests a troubled dating relationship between the deceased, with the male allegedly having threatened the female the previous night and forcing entry into her home the next morning, leading to the fatal shooting. The DA’s office confirmed that inquiries into this incident are ongoing, and further details are yet to be disclosed.
