Authorities in Union County, North Carolina, are currently conducting a manhunt for Kirby Faulkner, who is accused of fleeing from deputies after a high-speed chase. The Union County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop earlier this afternoon, but Faulkner evaded capture by driving away at high speeds. Later on, deputies spotted Faulkner’s vehicle again, leading to a pursuit that ended on the outer loop of 485.
During the chase, a video captured by a viewer showed Faulkner’s car rushing by. After abandoning the vehicle, Faulkner allegedly fled the scene. At present, it is reported that an 11-year-old child and another individual were found in the car following the chase. Additionally, authorities discovered that the vehicle had been stolen and contained a significant quantity of marijuana.
