Man Shot and Wounded in Oakland

A man was shot and wounded in Oakland early Sunday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department (OPD). The incident occurred on the 2000 block of 26th Avenue, prompting a call to the authorities just before 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male, identified as an Oakland resident, who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. As of Sunday afternoon, the victim’s condition was reported as stable.

The OPD has initiated an ongoing investigation into the shooting. They urge anyone with information regarding the incident to contact their felony assault unit at (510) 238-3426.
