Man Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Sex Abuse Plea Deal

Francisco “Pancho” Perea-Parra, a 34-year-old man from Bay Point, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading no contest to a sex abuse charge. The plea deal, finalized in mid-June, resulted in the dropping of human trafficking and sexual assault charges against him. Perea-Parra was transferred from the Martinez jail to North Kern State Prison on June 17. With credit for time served and good behavior, he will be eligible for release in June of next year.

Perea-Parra was arrested in July 2022 after a 15-year-old girl accused him of giving her tequila at her home and allowing another man to sexually abuse her for a $90 fee. During a voluntary police interview, Perea-Parra denied most of the girl’s claims, stating that he believed she was 18 and that she had fabricated false accusations to cover up the fact that she had stolen his Honda.

The man accused of paying $90 to sexually abuse the girl, Angelberto “Goofy” Gonzalez, was identified through DNA tests. He was sentenced to two years in state prison as part of a plea deal.
