A 27-year-old man is currently in critical condition after being shot in the Adams Point area of Oakland on Thursday night. The incident occurred at approximately 7:51 p.m. in the 300 block of Grand Avenue. The victim was walking with a group of friends when an argument ensued between him and another individual. The altercation escalated, resulting in the assailant shooting the victim in the upper torso. Fortunately, no other individuals were harmed during the incident.
Following the shooting, the gunman fled the scene in a vehicle. The motive behind the argument remains unknown as authorities have not disclosed any details regarding its nature. At present, no information about the suspect has been released.
In an effort to apprehend the shooter, the Oakland Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
