A 57-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot multiple times in East Oakland on Sunday night. The victim, whose address has not been confirmed by the authorities, remains in critical but stable condition as of Monday.
The incident occurred around 9:53 p.m. in the 8500 block of Holly Street, a predominantly residential area. Prompted by a gunshot detection system alert, officers swiftly arrived at the scene to find the man lying unresponsive in the middle of the street. He had sustained several gunshot wounds to the lower part of his body.
