Man Fatally Shot in Road Rage Incident on Interstate 580 near Pleasanton

A road rage dispute that originated on Interstate 580 near Pleasanton resulted in a fatal shooting in Tracy, approximately 25 miles away.

The incident occurred on August 4 and involved two Lodi men who were later arrested by the Tracy Police Department.

The victim, identified as 61-year-old Manteca resident Ryan Wood, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The police suspect the arrested individuals of brandishing weapons in previous road rage encounters and believe they may be connected to multiple incidents over the past few months.

Tracy police are urging anyone with information about the shooting or other road rage disputes to contact them or Tracy Crime Stoppers.
