A man was found dead on Saturday afternoon in north Aurora after sustaining a fatal gunshot wound, according to the Aurora Police Department. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Kingston Street, situated between East 19th Avenue and East Montview Boulevard. Residents in the area alerted authorities around 2:42 p.m. after discovering the man lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound, as stated in a news release by the police department.
The location where the man was found is in close proximity to several parks, churches, and schools, and is just north of East Colfax Avenue. Paramedics swiftly transported the unidentified man to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
