A man was shot and critically wounded during a Lil Baby concert at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on Thursday night. The shooting took place on the first floor of the venue during the performance, prompting Lil Baby to be rushed off the stage. The Memphis Police Department responded to the incident and confirmed that one adult male shooting victim was located and transported to Regional One Health in critical condition.
At the time of the shooting, the identity of the shooter was unknown, and no other injuries were reported. The Memphis Police Department is currently investigating the incident, and the venue is fully cooperating with law enforcement.
The Lil Baby concert, part of the It’s Only Us tour featuring The Kid Laroi and Glorilla, was interrupted by the shots fired. Concert attendees reported hearing a loud pop and were subsequently evacuated from the venue. The Memphis Police Department stated that it is unclear if the shooter and victim knew each other, the number of shots fired, or how the firearm was brought into the venue.
Lil Baby’s scheduled performance at the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday night has been canceled without explanation. However, his show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Saturday night is expected to proceed as planned.
