A man has been booked into Boulder County Jail this morning on suspicion of first-degree murder after a suspected homicide occurred Tuesday night in north Boulder. The suspect, identified as Garrett Littenberg, 27, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder with deliberation and intent, according to Boulder County Jail records.
The investigation occurred at 1663 Zamia Ave, where police were seen conducting inquiries on Wednesday morning. Littenberg has no criminal history in Colorado, as per court records. A booking photo of the suspect was not immediately available.
Boulder police tweeted at 11:26 p.m. on Tuesday night, stating that investigators were looking into a “potential homicide” and that one “person of interest” was in custody. It is believed that the victim and the suspect knew each other.
The case is ongoing, and further details regarding the incident have not been released at this time.
