Man Arrested in Shooting at Lil Baby Concert in Memphis

A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at a concert headlined by rapper Lil Baby in Memphis. Kevin Young, 22, was taken into custody on Wednesday on charges including reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of weapons, and drugs. The shooting took place on September 7 at the FedExForum, a popular venue located near Beale Street in downtown Memphis. The incident resulted in one person being injured and the concert being canceled.

During the concert, shots were fired, prompting Lil Baby to be quickly escorted off the stage. The injured individual was transported to a hospital, and no other injuries were reported. The arena was subsequently evacuated. The method by which the suspect was able to bring a gun into the arena has not been disclosed by the police. The FedExForum contracts with a private security company to screen individuals for weapons and has since implemented a clear bag policy for patrons.

Upon Young’s arrest, law enforcement officers discovered guns, ammunition, and drugs at the residence where he was apprehended. Two other individuals present at the location were also arrested on drug-related charges. Online court records do not indicate whether Young has legal representation at this time.

Following the incident, Lil Baby expressed his regret for not being able to perform in Memphis and assured fans that refunds would be provided.
