Man Arrested in Connection with North San Jose Hotel Shooting

A 29-year-old man, Fernando Macias, has been apprehended by the San Jose Police Department in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at a hotel in North San Jose. The incident took place on January 30, prompting a swift response from law enforcement authorities. The victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was initially in critical condition but has since stabilized and is expected to survive.

According to a police news release, officers were dispatched to the Wyndham Garden San Jose Airport hotel in the 1300 block of North Fourth Street after receiving a report of a shooting. The subsequent investigation led to the identification of Fernando Macias as the suspect. On Wednesday, a SWAT team successfully arrested Macias at a Santa Clara hotel. He has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and is currently being held without bail.
