Man Arrested in Connection with Burbank Shooting Incident

San Jose authorities have apprehended a 30-year-old man, Cody Neese, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred two weeks ago in the Burbank neighborhood. The incident took place at approximately 8 a.m. on February 12 in the 500 block of Laswell Avenue, near Parkmoor Avenue, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with injuries initially deemed potentially life-threatening. However, the victim’s condition has since stabilized. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office has not yet disclosed a possible motive for the shooting, but they believe the victim was specifically targeted.

On Monday, the Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team successfully arrested Cody Neese in San Jose without any incident. Brooks Jarosz, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, confirmed Neese’s arrest in a news release. Neese has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of attempted murder, in addition to unrelated outstanding warrants.
