Chad Michael Busto has been arrested for stalking actress Drew Barrymore in New York. The incident occurred during an interview at the 92nd Street Y, where Barrymore was interviewing Reneé Rapp about her new album. Busto attempted to climb on stage and was escorted away by security. Following this incident, Busto made repeated attempts to get close to Barrymore.

On Wednesday, Busto was detained by Southampton PD after allegedly riding his bike into private driveways in Sagaponack. He reportedly told residents that he was looking for Barrymore’s home. Busto was briefly questioned and released. However, on Thursday, he was apprehended by East Hampton Town Police and turned over to Southampton police. He has been booked on a misdemeanor charge of stalking in the fourth degree.

Busto has a history of obsession with female celebrities, including Amber Heard, and has a criminal record that includes burglary, indecent exposure, making lewd comments to children, and fighting with Trader Joe’s staff.

He is scheduled to return to court in Southampton on September 12.
