A man has been arrested after allegedly carjacking an Amazon delivery van and leading police on a chase from Washington, D.C. into Prince George’s County, Maryland. The suspect, who remains unidentified, reportedly carjacked someone in Prince George’s County before driving into D.C. He then abandoned that vehicle and carjacked the Amazon delivery driver at gunpoint. Shots were fired during the incident, but fortunately, no one was injured.
The suspect fled the scene, with both D.C. and Prince George’s County Police in pursuit. The chase ended when the suspect crashed the stolen van near a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Police quickly surrounded the suspect and made an arrest.
