Police have arrested and charged Curtis G. Smith, 41, in connection to a double shooting incident that occurred over the weekend in Norfolk, Virginia. The shooting resulted in the death of Precious L. McClendon, 24, and left a 51-year-old man seriously injured.
Officers responded to the scene early Sunday morning and discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds. McClendon was pronounced dead at the scene, while the injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday, police, along with the assistance of U.S. Marshals, apprehended Smith. He has been charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of use of a firearm in a felony. Smith is currently being held without bond.
