A 22-year-old man in Warsaw, Poland, is facing accusations of burglarizing a mall by posing as a mannequin in a shop window. Warsaw Police released a photo of the suspect standing motionless in a store window, holding a shopping bag. Mall staff and shoppers reportedly did not notice anything unusual at the time, as the man blended in with the other mannequins.
According to police, the man waited until the mall closed for the night before moving through various stores and stealing jewelry. He was eventually apprehended by mall security. Authorities believe this was not the suspect’s first time committing such a crime. He is also accused of dining at a shopping center, waiting for it to close, changing his outfit in a clothing store, and then returning to the restaurant to eat another meal. Additionally, there was a third incident at another location where the man allegedly waited until closing time before taking money from cash registers.
The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect is expected to face charges related to the burglaries.
