The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy whose malnourished and decomposing body was found inside a home in Milwaukee on Tuesday evening. The boy has been identified by his family as Jacarie Robinson. He was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m. on Tuesday after being discovered at the residence. An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, revealing signs of malnourishment and decomposition. The medical examiner believes the boy may have been dead for several days, with his disappearance potentially dating back to Labor Day.
Jacarie’s family, including his 10 siblings, gathered on Wednesday evening to honor his life with green balloons, his favorite color. His brother Jordan expressed his grief, stating that he feels hurt and wants closure for their family. Many questions remain unanswered, including why Jacarie was not reported missing and whether anyone from his school noticed his absence. While the medical examiner has classified the case as a homicide, the police have not made an official statement regarding the nature of the investigation.
No individuals are currently in custody in connection with Jacarie’s death. The Milwaukee Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them at (414) 935-7360. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-Tips.
