Jessica Kane, a 31-year-old escort from the Lower Mainland, who was previously charged with drugging and robbing clients in Burnaby, Vancouver, Surrey, and Langley, is now facing additional charges in Alberta. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) announced on Friday that Kane has been charged with robbery, overcoming resistance by administering a drug, and four counts of breaching a release order in relation to incidents in Calgary in October 2022.

According to the ALERT news release, a Calgary man reported being drugged and robbed by a woman he met on a sex-trade website in October. After a year-long investigation, Kane was charged in connection with the incident. ALERT’s investigation revealed that Kane was suspected of working in the Calgary area between October and December 2022 while on bail for the charges in the Lower Mainland. The release also mentioned that there may be other victims in Alberta.

Kane, who used various aliases including Claudia, Maria, Kara, Kimmy, Bambi, Ava, Lexa, Hazel, Honey, Mia, Becca, Angel, Heidi, Meghan, Natalie, and Alexis, is currently in custody after her bail was revoked in April. She was banned from sex work when she was released on bail in October 2022. Kane’s next court appearance in British Columbia is scheduled for November 2.
